A Sharp Reminder
Life is a vapor
Dear friend,
Over the years I have taught thousands of people about the biblical problem of evil, pain, and suffering.
One point I often make is that pain isn’t always bad. In many cases, pain is a gift—it alerts us that something is wrong and needs attention. I never imagined I would experience that lesson so personally.
For nearly three weeks, I simply didn’t feel right. It felt as though one of my grandchildren was sitting on my chest. I honestly thought I might have pneumonia.
Thankfully, I listened to what my body was telling me. After a series of tests, doctors discovered that my “widowmaker” artery was 95% blocked. Within hours, my cardiologist placed a stent that restored normal blood flow. Best of all, my doctor told me that every other artery looked excellent and that I should actually have more energy than before—so look out!
More importantly, this experience reminded me of a truth we all know but often forget: none of us is promised tomorrow. Life is but a vapor.
I cannot adequately express my gratitude for your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support during this time. God has been incredibly good to me, and your kindness has meant more than you know.
This unexpected bump in the road has only deepened my conviction in the urgency of what we are doing. Every day there are souls searching for answers, parents looking for biblical guidance, and young people trying to navigate a culture that is becoming increasingly hostile to Christianity.
That is why our team is more determined than ever.
Over the coming months we will be releasing some of the most exciting resources in our twenty-year history. I am putting the finishing touches on a book examining why so many young people are leaving the church—a project I genuinely believe has the potential to help countless parents and congregations.
Beyond that, we are developing new books, video material, Bible class materials, family devotionals, podcasts, and apologetics resources designed to strengthen Christian families and equip believers to confidently defend their faith. We are also expanding our evangelistic efforts to reach those who are honestly searching for the truth of God’s Word.
Every resource we produce is driven by one purpose: to help people know Jesus Christ, trust His Word, and faithfully live for Him. Our prayer is not simply to strengthen individuals, but to see families establish a legacy of multi-generational faithfulness that impacts children, grandchildren, and generations yet unborn (see Psalm 78:1-6). We are ready to move into a higher gear—but we cannot do it alone.
Would you prayerfully consider making a financial gift to help us continue this work? Every donation helps produce sound, Bible-based materials.
Thank you for believing in this ministry. Thank you for praying for us. And thank you for standing beside us as together we defend the truth, strengthen the church, equip Christian families, and reach the lost with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Serving Him with you,
Brad Harrub, Ph.D.

Glad you are doing better. God bless you. I use your materials a lot.
